SONEX® Noise Control Curtains

Our sound proofing curtain systems are an economical, high performance, noise control product possessing high mechanical strength. They are class 1 fire rated, easily cleanable, resistant to dust, dirt, oils and most chemicals, and give a long service life. Curtains reduce reverberant  noise energy and offer a 7-10 dB reduction. Curtain enclosures, which combine our high-mass noise control barrier with our lightweight acoustical absorber, are designed to both contain and absorb noise, and offer an average of 12-15 dB reduction. Modular acoustic curtain screens are ideal for temporary enclosures or where a portable means of noise containment is required.

SONEX® Noise Control Curtains

Industrial Sound Proofing Acoustical Curtain Enclosures are available as complete, partial, or portable enclosures. Industrial sound enclosure options include sliding door panels, view windows, strip doors, air intake and exhaust ventilation baffles, partial or full roof panel systems, and corner strips among many others. Industrial sound proofing enclosures and sound proofing screens are available in various models or composites panels and may be supported from our standard track and hardware systems or our heavy duty structural steel systems.

Industrial In-Plant Enclosures are available in Complete or Partial enclosures. Enclosures can be floor mounted, ceiling mounted, wall mounted, or suspended from a roof deck. When using a complete four-sided enclosure with a roof, the noise reduction can exceed 20 dB(A) while still offering access, visibility and ventilation.

Partial Enclosures are defined as a barrier wall, two or three sided enclosure, or a four sided enclosure without a roof. Noise reduction can exceed 15 dB(A) on a partial enclosure utilizing our Barrier Backed or Barrier Septum Composites. Standard components are utilized to offer custom enclosures to meet your specific application.

SONEX Curtain Barrier Backed

SONEX Curtain Barrier Backed is a composite that features sound absorptive willtec® foam quilted with a vinyl facing on one side, bonded to a reinforced noise barrier material on the other. This product provides both excellent sound transmission loss and sound absorption performance.

SONEX Curtain Quilted Absorber

Memtech quilted absorbers can be applied to an existing stockade fence to prevent the noise from "bouncing" up and over the fence as it did at a Minnesota truck distribution center.  Industrial composite products can be used in conjunction with a chain link fence to surround a noisy area or to line a noisy building.

SONEX Curtain Barrier Septum

SONEX Curtain Barrier Septum combine sound absorbing and noise barrier properties into one product. An effective “sandwich” of layers, consisting of quilted vinyl-faced layers of willtec foam bonded on both sides of noise barrier material producing a curtain that both contains and absorbs noise.
