Modular Enclosures For Industrial Noise Containment

Modular Enclosures offer structural integrity combined with flexibility. The large selection of extrusions and hardware allow the designer to decide on size, shape and orientation needed for each particular application. These bases and frames can include items such as linear components, electrical wire ways and pneumatic manifolds built right into the design of the structure.
 


 

Material Specification and Tolerance for Modular Aluminum Extrusions
  • All structural extrusions are prime metal, mill certified metallurgical properties of 6005-T6
  • Yield (0.2 limit) Rm. min. 240N/mm (35,000 psi) minimum
  • Tensile strength Rm. Min 260 N/mm (38,000 psi) minimum
  • Elongation A5 min. 100/c Elongation A10 min. 8%
  • Elasticity E approx. 70,000 N/mm (10,150 k lbs./sq. in.)
  • Brinell Hardness approx. 75 HB 2.5/187.5
  • Unless specified otherwise all extrusions have Etch and Clear (204R1)
  • Anodizing with minimum depth of 10 microns (.0004in.) and surface hardness approx. 250HV.
  • The molecular structure of the 6005-T6 alloy is generally stable in an ambient temperature range of: -40C to +200ºC (-40F to +392ºF)

Extreme temperature fluctuations may change the mechanical properties.

Tolerances

  • Outer dimension depending on size +/- 0.2 - 0.4mm
  • Extrusions conforming to DIN 17615
  • Specifications and to modulars blue prints.
  • Twist per foot length not to exceed 1/40 and total twist over 16ft. length not to exceed 1.5º.
  • Flatness 0.004 in. per inch of width.
  • Straightness 0.0125 in. per foot of length and, not exceeding 3mm or 0.12 in. over a 16 ft. of extrusion. (max. bow 3mm over 16ft.)
